Gold Avenue Church is a warm and welcoming place. Whether you are living in the neighborhood, studying here, or visiting from out of town, come as you are to sing, pray, listen to Bible teaching and get connected over coffee and donuts. There is a safe nursery for babies and toddlers and a great class for kids three to nine years old. We look forward to meeting you.
Do you have a question, a prayer request, or a way that we might serve you? Let us know! We are here to serve people and would love to listen and pray with you.
Office hours vary because our staff make it a priority to be out in the community. If you would like to reach a specific staff member, let our office staff know and they will help make that connection. Contact us by phone, email or by filling in the form to the right. We look forward to hearing from you!

Life has joys and struggles. We all are looking for love and purpose and meaning in life. At Gold Avenue Church, we see God’s love changing hearts and lives regularly.
Some of our stories are less dramatic than others, but each person who knows Jesus is being changed for the better. We want to introduce you to Vic, one of our members. In this video, you will hear about the radical love and power of God to heal and renew lives.
Perhaps you are wondering how to use your skills to help others. Are you going to college nearby? Maybe you are new to Grand Rapids and are checking out churches. Perhaps you are going through a hard time and would like to talk.
Do you have questions about Jesus and His story? We would welcome the chance to hear your story and explore what Jesus’ story might mean for you.
The Gold Avenue church family is a fun-loving group of people who are active in our community. We get out in the neighborhood and offer to pray with neighbors. We have a coffee shop, food pantry and support group. We host Bible classes, youth group, college group, and we volunteer in our local schools. We also love to collaborate with other businesses and ministries in the area and around the world.
We exist to see the love of God change our hearts, our neighborhood and the world.
Empowered by the Holy Spirit, we each use our gifts to embody, proclaim, and advance the Kingdom of God.
Gold Avenue’s Food Pantry is available upon appointment. Please contact the church office to set up an appointment for food assistance or visit The Other Way Ministries’ Food Pantry, located at 710 West Fulton; open Tuesday-Thursday from 9:30am to 11:30 and 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm.
