We are a warm and welcoming community united by the gospel of Jesus Christ. We worship together, pray together, care for and equip one another — all to the glory of God.

Church during the Covid-19 pandemic looks different, but we are finding new and creative ways to continue being the body of Christ. We look forward to connecting with you!

Church looks different these days.

There’s no way around it. The pandemic continues to disrupt life here in Grand Rapids, and our ability to gather and worship together in our building is no exception.

But, we’re adapting. We will continue to be the body of Christ in the midst of these uncertain times, and the ministry of Jesus will not cease. What does a community of worship, prayer, care and equipping look like in these uncertain times? Read on.

Ministry during the pandemic

Worship

We use our blog to post encouraging notes, and resources like our Sunday At Home Liturgies and Children’s Worship Lessons. We encourage you to go through these liturgies each week with your family, household or on your own, taking part in the prayer times, worship songs, testimonies, sermons, and blessings.

We also recently decided to start meeting in small groups in households each week for those comfortable with doing so! This is similar to the practices of the early church.

Everything we do at Gold Avenue Church is rooted in prayer. From major church decisions to various prayer ministries, we humbly seek God’s leadership in everything and carefully discern how He is seeking to connect with us.

One of the ways a a church community loves one another is by caring for each others’ needs.
